The main communal areas of the villa are located on the upper level of the terrace. They include the piano salon, library and the dining and living rooms, as and the kitchen of the family. These rooms are directly connected to the terraces clad in stone, which include outdoor dining and living spaces and pergolas in summer.

The two floors above are home to bedrooms that are private and have spacious bathrooms with en-suites.  fry the coop italian streets swiss tech jacket camper backpack outward fast travel travel lodge winsdor Travel Junkie travel thirsty kapaa travel The original attic floor was raised to allow entertainment lounges, a bar games room and outdoor terraces. The original tower room was repurposed as the 9th bedroom and bathroom. In order to make room for the gym wing as well as the an accommodation for the caretaker, additions were made to the foundation stone plinth. The gardens to the east of the site have amazing views, as does a swimming in the pool, as well as a summer pavilion.

The original Liberty-era ceiling-frescoes and the painted walls inspired the colors and fabrics used throughout the house. Similar to all studio work, interior joinery, fixtures and hardware were custom-designed. Particular 1930s or mid-century furniture and lighting items were selected for the villa.

The concept of stair design grew out of the floating red “Staircase-III” by Doh Ho Suh that was displayed at Tate Modern. In close collaboration with the client we were able to create a striking, but ethereal and almost sensorial sculpture into the setting of their home.”

The construction consisted of complete renovation, and the connection of two separate apartments on the second and first floors, to create a huge maisonette.
